In the early 1970's, Toigo Orchards started to direct its attention in the Washington D.C. area. We have been active in many communities involving the local food movement. Recently we have expanded our markets to include New York City. Farmer's Markets in general provide unity between communities. Most all Farmer's Markets accept WIC (Women Infant and Children) checks that are distributed through the USDA and administered through each states Agricultural Department.
